The exhibition "Between Life and Death. Stories of Rescue during the Holocaust" opens in Museum and Memorial in Bełżec on 5 July 2022 and will be on view till 28 August.
The initiative is a joint project of ENRS, the POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews, and the Silent Heroes Memorial Center. It was first presented in the headquarters of the European Commission in Brussels in January 2018 to commemorate the International Holocaust Remembrance Day. Following its presentations in Brussels, Amsterdam, Bratislava, Vilnius, Wrocław, Markowa, Bucharest, Budapest, Bern,Osaka, Yokohama and Tsuruga, it will now visit Bełżec in Poland, the site of one of the Nazis’ death camps. “Between Life and Death” will be on display in the Museum and Memorial in Bełżec – a branch of Museum in Majdanek, dedicated to documenting and commemorating the victims of the Nazi regime.
