The European Network Remembrance and Solidarity, the International Cultural Center and the National Museum in Krakow invite you to attend a lecture 'Modernism and the persistence of tradition' by prof. Jay Winter. The lecture will take place at the International Cultural Center in Krakow on 24 March at 5 PM and is open to the public. Language: English with translation into Polish.

Jay Murray Winter is an outstanding American historian, professor of history at Yale University. The main subject of his research is World War I and its impact on the 20th century. The introductory speech will be given by prof. Piotr Juszkiewicz, the curator of the exhibition ;New Beginning. Modernism in the Second Polish Republic' at the National Museum in Krakow. After both speeches the audience will have a chance to take part in a discussion.
