We have the pleasure to invite you to the 9th European Remembrance Symposium, which will take place in Tallinn on 15-17 June 2021.
The European Remembrance Symposium is an annual meeting for professionals dealing with 20th-century European history. Its goal is to create a space in which they can exchange experiences and together discuss the challenges facing Europe's culture of remembrance.
The aim of this year's edition of the Symposium is to discuss the role of history and memory in creating contemporary European identity. Special attention will be given to the mission, programme and best practices of institutions dealing with 20th-century European history.
The Symposium in Tallinn is organised in cooperation with the Estonian Institute of Historical Memory and The Federal Institute for Culture and History of the Germans in Eastern Europe (BKGE).

The form of the Symposium - whether hybrid or on-line only, will be defined in spring.
