The European Network Remembrance and Solidarity, the International Cultural Center and the National Museum in Krakow invite you to attend a lecture 'Modernism and the persistence of tradition' by prof. Jay Winter. The lecture will take place at the International Cultural Center in Krakow on 24 March at 5 PM and is open to the public. Language: English with translation into Polish.
Jay Murray Winter is an outstanding American historian, professor of history at Yale University. The main subject of his research is World War I and its impact on the 20th century. The introductory speech will be given by prof. Piotr Juszkiewicz, the curator of the exhibition 'New Beginning. Modernism in the Second Polish Republic' at the National Museum in Krakow. After both speeches the audience will have a chance to take part in a discussion.
