A second edition of "Ravensbrück Generational Forum meets Sound in the Silence" will take place between 18 and 24 August.
The idea behind the initiative is to combine artistic framework of the Sound in the Silnce project with meetings with former prisoners of the Ravensbrück concentration camp.
This year, the participants will hear the stories of Emmie Arbel (Israel), Batsheva Dagan (Israel), Selma van de Perre (United Kingdom) and Judit Varga-Hoffman (Hungary). Drawing upon their testimonies, the team will create an interdisciplinary performance which will be then shown to public on 24 August.
Artists workshops will be conducted by Dan Wolf (creative writing), Katarina Rampackova (dance), Lena Stoehr (music, rap) and Christian Find (audio, sound).
The initiative is organised by Mahn- und Gedenkstätte Ravensbrück, Dr. Hildegard Hansche Stiftung, zeitlupe, Stadt.Geschichte & Erinnerung, RAA Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e.V. and MOTTE.
