The third discussion within the “To Understand Memory” series just started!
This time, we have the pleasure of hosting Ziemowit Szczerek, author of the reportage “Wymyślone miasto Lwów” (The Invented City of Lviv), and Dr. Łukasz Bukowiecki, Warsaw and what could have been there in his publication “Muzea-preteksty. Niezrealizowane przedsięwzięcia muzealne wobec negatywnego dziedzictwa w Warszawie” (Museums-pretence. Unrealized museum projects in the face of negative heritage in Warsaw).
Szczerek and Bukowiecki focus on semi-legendary, (non)existent and (non)transformed places in the context of multi-layered heritage: from ancient Polish or Russian history, through World War II and communism, to modern times.
Please note that the event will be conducted in Polish and translated into Polish Sign Language.
